Fior di Bosco 4.00 Lingfield

Fior Di Bosco was a 240,000 guineas yearling out of a Guiliciux a mare whose progeny include the 2,000 Guineas and St James Palace stakes winner Galileo Gold.

Every horse she has produced has won, the exception is Fior di Bosco. There is every indication the filly was difficult from an early stage. She had a yo yo start to racing, original with Karl Burke before moving to William Haggas then back to Burke and then back again to Somerville Lodge in a 9 month period, before setting foot on the racetrack as a 3yo at Newbury in June 2024

She made the frame in 3rd but was beaten 16L in what has turned out to be a well below average maiden for the track. Although 3rd on her next outing her performances have gradually deteriorated and she has not improved for handicapping being beaten 30L at Newcastle on her latest outing.

She has a tongue tie for the first time , but probably the fact the owners are persisting with her as a 4yo is more a sign of encouragement However, until she shows some sign of ability on the track she cannot be considered a betting proposition. Her current rating of 65 looks excessive.
