Transformational Betting for 2026

Flegmatik set for major plunge.

Recommending Flegmatik at Kempton in 2m 4f + handicap chase is hardly rocket science – however such is the horses record at this track that it is too obvious a bet to ignore.

I recommend that you back this when the markets are released Thursday evening . I doubt the bookies will be over generous, the Sporting Life predicted forecast is 11/2. Even though it looks a competitive race I suspect 4/1 maybe as short as 3/1 is the likely opening show price on Thursday afternoon.

The horses record at the track is outstanding, and with the yard having successfully got his handicap mark down by 9lbs since his last run at the course, it is quite simply a Skelton plot job that is impossible to ignore.

A lot of the leading professional tipsters and punters have had this horse on their radar, some even backing him at Ascot last time out, where he ran perfectly respectably.

I am sure Friday will be the day and unless Skelton is over confident, as was the case with Etalon on Saturday, I expect the 10yo to win here and then attempt to win the big 3m chase, at this course at the end of the month. Last season he was 4th in that Class 1 race beaten 2 and a half lengths off a mark of 140. The ground that day was softer than ideal.

Before that race Skelton was quoted as saying that he had scope for improvement off that mark of 140. Although now a year older that last run at Ascot proved he retains all his ability.

Some might argue that they could be waiting for the 3m race at the end of the month but with no certainty he will get his ideal conditions that day, they can win here and still run off a lower mark. On Friday the track, trip and ground is perfect for the horse.

2pt win Flegmatik 3.25 K

Friday.
