Tiernan Power Roach already well known to Nu Trends members is likely to be thrust into the limelight at this years festival and he can warm up with another winner for his main retainer Philip Rothwell on Sunday aboard Cato’s Revenge in the Naas 3.40.
This 8yo was an eyecatcher last time out in the Pertemps qualifier won by Will the Wise currently at the head of the betting for next weeks Pertemps Final. In 4th was another aiming for the final Patter Merchant.
Tiernan only has 7 more winners before he loses his 5lb claim and it has been noticeable that he has been much more selective over the last week.
With Tiernan taking off 5lb the 8yo is only 4lb higher than his last win when absolutely bolting up at Limerick. The soft ground is fine and and the team landed a touch with the owner JJ Lecky’s, Without Exception at the end of February.
There are no prices available at the time of writing but I shall be surprised if 8/1 or higher is not available, and there should also be 5 places.
0.5pt ew 1-5 places Cato’s Revenge 3.40 Naas.
