Transformational Betting for 2026

Good Banter first bet of many this season with Rossa Ryan trusted.

The early prices for the 6.15 at Southwell on Saturday have introduced Good Banter at a price of 11/8 . I think this is good value and believe the 3yo could go off around Evs, possibly odds on.

Trainer Clive Cox has had a slow start to the year but his horses have ran better this month highlighted by their first winner last week with a very promising 3yo Fearnot.

Good Banter was a well backed favourite in what was one of the hottest 3yo handicaps on the AW this season, despite being drawn wide in stall 12 and over a 6f trip that is short of her best.

He missed the break but was kept wide throughout and although running on towards the finish had no chance from that track position. Also at that time the Clive Cox team were in the doldrums

He is up in trip down in class and dropped a 1lb in the weights to a mark of 92. Connections have selected this 0-90 race which allows horses rated 91 and 92 to get in and this looks a penalty kick drawn in stall 1 with no other front runners in the race i expect Rossa to make all.

There is probably no need for further evidence but here is how the form has worked out from his last winning run at Woverhampton a race in which he made all over 7f

The second The Quick Gent won next time out and the 4th home in that race then Won (the second and third have yet to run)

The third Don Pacifico also won next time out.

Unsurprisingly he is top rated and everything is in his favour Saturday to collect.

2pt win Good Banter 11/8 Bet 365 6.15 Southwell Saturday.
