As expected Midnightattheoasis is back out again quickly at Lingfield on Tuesday in the finale at 5.20 and there is every reason to back him to complete the 4 timer.
We have profited from the resurgent 5 yo backed up by his trainer Phil McEntee’s ability to keep delivering when these sprinters from the yard get on a roll.
Yes he has another 5lb to carry but with Rossa Ryan again booked and just as importantly the make up of the race is once again perfect . Drawn in stall 5 he will be able to sit in behind 3 guaranteed front runners in The Defiant drawn 1 Recon Mission in 2 and Micks Spirit in 6 who will get across from the wide draw to create a pace battle up front.
Midnightattheoasis will sit in behind with Beaumadier and both Harb and Coolagh Magic will be held up.
As the pace collapses Rossa should be prime position to get first run on the two hold up horses and complete the 4 timer.
Although still a class 6 he is up in grade to a 0-65 he last two wins were in 0- 55 but horses from the yard when they get on these runs have progressed from 0-55 to 0-70 and 0-80 so this class rise should be well within his scope.
The better class horses here Micks Spirit, Harb and Coolagh Magic should ensure we get a decent price and don’t be surprised if there is a price drift near post time.
