An excellent week was rounded off by the exciting victory of American Affair on Saturday at 7/2 and the gamble on Romantic Spirit 6/5 from 5/2 our only bets advised on the weekend.
However what is most encouraging is the reliability of the early form lines and consistent levels of performance levels achieved by the leading yards. I fully expect what has already been a great start to the season to accelerate even further into profits as we enter the peak months of May June and July
The William Haggas team is in great form except for the 3yo’s who have not raced on the AW.
All these types are needing the run and it is not surprising that they have a lot of 3yo’s making their seasonal debuts over the next few days.
I will let them all run unbacked and watch with a view to backing them once they have a run under their belts.
There will be no bets on Sunday or Monday either from William Haggas or the other yards we are following but the Epsom meeting on Tuesday with interesting cards at Yarmouth and Thirsk look likely to see us back in the ring.

NO BET RECOMMENDED
Since i have been following gallop reports from Newmarket for over 40 years, without fail every year there are two or three horses that work like Group 1 horses at home but struggle to reach even Class5 on the racecourse.
I have a strong feeling that Palmarion who reappears at Kempton in the 5.15 on Monday is one of those “morning glories”
I had a good bet on him at Doncaster in March when on his home form he was reported to be a steering job. He was backed accordingly -however he was edgy sweated up badly and ran as though the job of racing on the course was too much for him.
He wears a hood and will I am pretty certain be backed again – however past experience with these types has taught me not to chase losses on horses that perform the way he did at Doncaster. I will watch with interest without a financial involvement.
No BET Sunday or Monday
