May day off before weekend blitz

With the bookmakers being apologetic about the Punchestown festival results my long term view that it is meeting to avoid has been ratified.

There are 5 flat meetings to start the month that is crucial for the flat season as not only do we have the classics but also the run up to Royal Ascot.

I have spent a few hours going through the 5 cards and i cannot remember a day with 5 flat meetings that are so completely devoid of potential betting opportunities. The Haggas runner Golden Handshake is a 3yo on debut so certainly a watching brief.

With the Haggas yard making 31 entries across 3 days Friday-Sunday the midnight oil will be burning to sort out the first bets for May and in addition there are 20 horses in the Diary tracker entered !!
