In the hope that the Chester management have watered the ground as reported Bob Mali can continue the great punting opportunities that have arisen from the Double Rush win in a minor AW maiden at Wolverhampton in March.
We have profited handsomely from that race with big bet returns on Double Rush and French Sand on their next outings and it promises to continue following the win of Double Rush in a handicap at Newmarket’s Craven meeting through stable mate Bob Mali who was second that day on his first run for the yard.
It could have been better still but following the flop of stable (work) mate Nifty Fifty I let Invictus Gold the third home in the Newmarket handicap go unbacked at last weeks Guineas festival meeting and he duly bolted up by 3L.
Bob Mali has been withdrawn twice before on fast ground but as this is Day 1 of the Chester festival there should be every chance the stated forecast ‘Good’ ground is accurate and given a great stall birth in 2 he can win with William Buick in the saddle.
The 9/4 price is not generous but Buick is 2 from 4 in handicaps at Chester for the Hills yard and the strength of the form combined with the draw gives us a clear opportunity that should be taken.
