Beckett Goodwood record to keep improving.

Ralph Beckett has a great record at Goodwood and his improving 3yo colt Amiloc can further improve this in the Goodwood 2.05 on Saturday.

The presence of the highly promising inexperienced 3yo’s Opportunity from the William Haggas yard and the Gosden trained Kingman colt Tycoon will make sure we get a price about Amiloc 11/4 has been readily available which is outstanding value.

Opportunity and Tycoon have been touted as potential group horses but the performance of Amiloc over this course and distance on his seasonal debut when the yards horses were needing the run gave every indication that he is also in that category.

Owned by Mrs David Ackroyd who also has the leading Derby candidate Pride of Arras in the yard – i will be very surprised if Amiloc isn’t far behind that colt. His previous track experience will be vital and his dame was proven with cut in the ground should the rain arrive.

3pt win Bet Amiloc 2.05 Goodwood Saturday

Kinswoman has been given the perfect draw in stall 9 of 9 in the 6f handicap due off at 7.00 Windsor. We have backed this filly twice without success but she has met some high quality rivals, dropped back to 6f she has a very good mark of 73 plus another 3 reduced by Harry Burns claim makes her well handicapped and given a great chance to recover those previous losses/

Dream Along from the Andrew Balding yard will make the market for us but I am confident Kinswoman is a lot better than her mark of 73 and her speed can give her the edge on the Balding filly who is up 6lb and makes her turf debut.

2pt win Kinswoman 7.00 Windsor Saturday

A mention of the other Haggas runners over the weekend

Goodwood 1.30

Power Fizz has been given a mountain to climb handed stall 16 over the 7f trip at Goodwood. This colt is improving rapidly but will have to use plenty of pace just to get a position from the wide stall. In a race where there are many improvers unfortunately we will have to pass on Power Fizz this Saturday.

First Instinct is improving but takes on the likes of Symbol of Honour in the Sandy Lane Stakes the Haydock 3.00 and will do well to make the frame

Rhapsody is on a recovery mission in the Goodwood 3.15 but i am far from convinced that the value of her debut win is up to listed standard and i will watch her prove herself to be listed class without getting involved.

Maelstrom is the preferred ride on the day of Ceiren Fallon with Tom Marquand heading for Hong Kong. This big strong powerful sprinter will not be deterred from carrying 9-7 in the Haydock 4.10. However i want to see the impact of the ground and the rain before deciding if he is a bet on a busy day.

I will update at Noon on Saturday to confirm this and potential other bets at Haydock when conditions are clearer.

Alibay makes his debut in the Goodwood 4.10 and will be better for the run.

Realign makes his seasonal debut in the Salisbury 6.20 but will be odds on to win this before heading to the major sprint races as the summer progresses.

Finally the marvellous Dubai Honour who takes in the Champions and Chater Cup off at 9.10 AM in Sha Tin on Sunday morning.

Rebel Romance became the first International winner of this race last year winning very easily off a mark of 120. Dubai Honour races off a mark of 118 and I expect him to equally out class the field and record another fantastic Group 1 victory. He hasn’t quite had the preparation he had in Australia but this is a weaker race.

2pt win Dubai Honour 9.10 AM Sha Tin Sunday
