It’s been a rough couple of weeks for Ante Post punters the withdrawal of Kyprios, Albert Einstein and now Lake Victoria the three Coolmore bankers at the Royal Meeting have given the bookmakers a head start next week.
Add to that the defeats of Calandagan, Desert Flower and Delacroix at Epsom along with the withdrawal of Ruling Court and the big firms must be rubbing their hands in anticipation at what lies ahead over the 5 days next week
We have lost 3 points so far after the withdrawals, but still have Field of Gold as our 3pt bet at 5/2 in the St James Palace and Sardinian Warrior at 12/1 in the Queen Anne. In John and Thady we trust.
The non runner theme has continued at the start of the week – our 3pt Bet on Tuesday due to be on the James Fanshawe trained Club Class at Salisbury has been withdrawn following a bad scope on Monday morning.
As have two horses and bets from the Haggas yard both now due to run later this week.
Patience is a virtue in this game – I will update again at 12 noon Tuesday in case anything looks worth a bet.
