King of Chaos looks straight forward at Salisbury

it is the time of year when 2yo’s with experience can have an advantage over well bred unraced horses who have not been purchased at the breeze ups or readied early for Royal Ascot.

There was a great example at Windsor on Monday when the more experienced Bella Lyra was able to easily outpoint the highly touted newcomer Dictal.

At Salisbury the George Scott trained King of Chaos can show great improvement from his first outing at Windsor and outpoint the Richard Hannon filly Sinj having her third outing and the well bred newcomers Zavateri, Wojtek and Big Song.

King of Chaos could not have been more eyecatching on his debut at Windsor, ridden by a 5lb claimer he was slowly away and then took up various track positions before staying really well finishing 3rd just behind the odds on favourite Angel of Anfield who came into the race off a good run in an Ascot conditions race , that has worked out really well and the winner the very useful Balding trained Regional Rock.

His trainer George Scott has only ever ran three 2yo’s previously at the course and it is significant that he comes here for a restricted novice stakes which means he is less likely to face some of the really top notch juveniles.

The stable have landed two really nice touches with 2yo’s on their second outing this season and i fully expect King of Chaos to be a third.

Our last two bets on a 2yo this campaign have been backed from 5/2 into 6/5- and from 7/4-4/9 both had a previous run and both Won.

The good thing is that there is usually early money for the unraced horses and the prices hold up to enable us to get on BoG from 8.00am . Around 3/1 should be available.

Diary of a Season Recommended Bet 2pt win King of Chaos BoG 3/1-11/4 2.30 Salisbury
