Transformational Betting for 2026

Royal Ascot Day 1 Noon Update plus two bets.

2.30 Queen Anne.

Our Bet Sardinian Warrior has unfortunately been withdrawn having been found off colour on the eve of the big day. We still have Lake Forest running for us at around 12/1. Don’t be surprised if Docklands outruns his odds of 20/1 he has the form link for Sardinian Warrior.

I want to continue backing my theory that the UK and Irish 3yo’s last season that excelled in the Spring and the Summer season are below average. The fact that the Gosden team seem very confident that they can win this with Lead Artist now Sardinian Warrior is a non runner leads me to replace him with his stable mate. Lead Artist was a late developer last season and can improve past the classic generation of 2024.

Recommended Bet 1pt win Lead Artist 2.30 Royal Ascot 5/1 BOG

3.05 Coventry Stakes

Strong support for AP O’Brien trained Gstaad now 9/2 favourite but his recent winners of this race have each had 2 runs and that lack of experience may tell.

There is no doubt that , before his setback Albert Einstein was their No 1 horse for this contest and the other Irish horses that finished behind him at the Curragh Andab and Power Blue have been the subject of significant support. But Ryan Moore said he could have won that race by 10L so i am not sure either is good enough. Both are drifting this morning, the money ha come for the Oisin Murphy ridden American Gulf 12/1 into 7/1

With most of the fancied runners drawn high it should give us a good steer for the rest of the meeting , so I will watch and learn, without investing.

3.40 King Charles 111 Stakes.

This is a sub standard renewal with only last years winner Alfoora meeting the rating level normally required to win this Group 1 contest. It looks as though her preparation has not been as smooth this year and with doubts about whether the low draw, despite the pace from Night Raider I will again pass on betting in this contest, which could see an upset.

American Affair can be forgiven his last run as he was given an awful ride which cost him at least a place – he should be much closer to the winner that day Mgheera. Steady raceday market with no significant movements

4.20 St James Palace Stakes

5.00 Ascot Stakes

All the money has been for the Mullins pair Reaching High and Poniros. Surprisingly given his domination of the staying races at Ascot Mullins last winner in this race was back in 2018 and he has had 4 beaten favourites since. I will leave this one to the N Hunt experts

5.35 Wolferton Stakes

The money continued for the favourite Enfjaar initially but major gambles on Sons and Lovers and Royal Gambit have seen him weaken.

Haatem is steady in the market but having expressed big doubts about the quality and value of last seasons 3yo’s I am loathe to support one in such an open contest.

Ecureuil Secret takes the eye at 12/1 into 9/1 however he could bounce after his win at Epsom but with five days of action to come there is no need to take risks, especially with Saturday looking the strongest betting day of the meeting.

There has been a monster gamble on Kings Gambit 16/1 into 4/1 ridden by James Macdonald the only jockey that can lay claim to Ryan Moores status as the worlds best. Clearly the yard feel they have found out what caused the horse to run so badly on his last run. Before this year a lot of experts felt he was potential Group 1 material and he is proven at the Royal meeting. I generally don’t forgive runs where horses are almost uncontrollable to ride and will leave him alone but good luck to all those iof you on at double figure odds.

6.10 Copper Horse Stakes.

Our bet French Master is rock solid in the market at 9/4 and i expect that to shorten into around 7/4. Despite not having been at their best for the past 3 season’s the Gosden team rank 2nd only to Aiden O’Brien over that period with 9 winners to his 15.

I expect this horse to complete a Day 1 treble for them on Tuesday. I have had a word for Barnso the mount of Oisin Murphy and recommend that subscribers take out a small ew insurance bet at odds of 12/1 or bigger with 5 places on offer. The gelding’s trainer Natalie Lupini is extremely shrewd and this small bet is worthwhile.

Already Advised 3pt win French Master 5/2

Additional bet 0.25 ew 12/1 or bigger Barnso BoG 6.10 Ascot ( backed this morning from 18/1)
