Transformational Betting for 2026

Newmarket Friday Evening Bet…

William Haggas seems to target the first Friday meeting on the July Course at Newmarket. Specifically, with improving 3yo’s running in Handicaps where if in the first 4 in the market he has sent out 8 winners from 14 runners.

He collected the two handicaps open to 3yo’s last season and a repeat looks on the cards in 2025. Cieren Fallon has been making hay away from Ascot and he can ride a double on the night.

His first ride is on the 750,000 pound gelding Fitzmaurice who was sent off a very short price on his seasonal debut at Windsor when in need of the outing.

He should be spot on for the 1m handicap at Newmarket and will held up and tucked in from a wide draw. He is a horse I have steered away from and with an improver in Opening Bat in opposition i have decided again to watch not bet.

Cairdeas let us down at York when i thought he struggled on the ground but i am assured that wasn’t the case – he just didn’t enjoy the big field and wide draw.

He is in calmer waters here and i am prepared to forgive that run because on his other starts he has a leading chance. He is well drawn in stall 5 in a race where they will go off at a strong pace and i expect Cieren Fallon to produce him fast and late inside the final furlong.

No need to go big – 1pt win at around 9/2 will do Cairdeas 19.50 Newmarket

The other Haggas runner is the potentially very useful Noble Horizon in the Novice Stakes at 6.37. He has a bit to do on the book to overturn the Beckett trained, I am I Said but with that stable out of form I wouldn’t be overly worried. However, only around 11/8 is available and with so many bets upcoming i will not break the minimum 7/4 bet rule.

If you don’t mind the short ones go ahead

3 Bets at Ascot and only 1 at Newmarket
