Plenty of Haggas news on runners at Ascot Redcar and Newmarket plus some strong information from the Royal meeting…
Lets begin with a round up of the 11 Haggas runners as they are due to run, although Supermodel in the Ascot 5.05 our 1pt ew bet is a non runner so is Caviar Heights in the 3.40 which leaves 9.
- First up is Sky Majesty at Ascot in the Commonwealth Cup at 3.05. she is a high quality filly who will have a very good season. However the watering report from the course this morning seems to favour the stands side and she is badly drawn in stall 6. A future bet i suspect overseas but not today.
2. Just under 20 minutes laterprobably the most disappointing horse in the yard Waleefy heads to Redcar in the 3.23. Cieran Fallon has always said this half brother to Baaeed needs a mile on soft ground. This horse is a bookies friend and it was last chance saloon last time at Newmarket for me.

3. Another disappointing type Yabher heads to Redcar in the 4.40. He has been gelded since his last run but to my eyes he is a horse that has gone backwards since winning first time out as a 33/1 outsider.
Happy Banner trained by Ed Walker ridden by Paul Mulrennan makes a lot of appeal in this race. There is plenty of stamina on the dams side and the step up to 10f could suit. His form is very eye catching in this field and Walker who has a very good track record of near 33% at Redcar has booked Paul Mulrennan who is also at a 30% plus strike rate for the yard.
Well drawn in stall 1 i hope Mulrennan rides him expecting the 3yo to get the trip and with money from 4/1 into 11/4 the combination are still too big a price not to get involved
Recommended Bet 2pt win Happy Banner 4.40 Redcar 11/4 BOG
4. in the Ascot 5.05 Purple Rainbow takes her chance from stall 14. She needs further than this mile trip and although she could run into place especially if there is a logjam on the stands rail. I will just watch.

5. In the Newmarket 5.25 Fitzmaurice will attempt to repay at least some of his 750,000 price tag. However, although i gave close consideration to having a bet the make up of the race , and what looks a bad draw has erred me on the side of caution. I just get the impression he is not in love with racing.

6. Opportunity heads to Ascot for the King Edward V11 stakes and will improve from his lat run behind Amiloc when unsuited by the track. With Becketts horses showing no form Amiloc is a a very big price at 5/2 but the Murtagh horse Zahraan looks a very useful late developer so i will leave the race alone.

7. Realign in the Ascot 6.10 already put up as a 2pt ew bet. The draw is a worry but i think he could well simply outclass his rivals and go past a congested group on the stands rail.
It is possible he is a stone better than this level and his mark of 93, is just to lenient to be ignored.
Re-Confirmed 2pt ew Bet Realign 6.10 Ascot
8. Noble Horizon 6.37 Newmarket. With the odds on favourite I Am I Said trained by Ralph Beckett i fully expect to break his maiden tag, but i regretted breaking my minimum 7/4 bet rule with Consecrated last week ( She was never anything like Hamish ) and with only 11/10 available this evening.

9. Cairdeas 7.40 Newmarket. The 9/2 we advised yesterday has gone but 4/1 BoG is available this morning – lets hope he can bounce back from that York run and maintain the great Haggas record on the first evening of racing on the July course.
Re-confirmed 1pt win Cairdeas 7.40 Newmarket
Royal Ascot Day 4 Noon Update
Where as on Wednesday and Thursday we were able to advise Late Bets available at 4/1 and 13/2 today there has really been nothing of value that i want add to the Diary betting account.
The French filly Zarigana 4.20 Ascot into 13/8 looks likely to be the gamble of the day .
Final Confirmation of The Diary of Season bets for Friday 20th June
0.5pt ew Ides of March 3.05 Ascot
2pt ew Realign 6.10 Ascot
2pt win Happy Banner 4.40 Redcar
