Transformational Betting for 2026

Saturday Noon Update One Bet added.

All the latest on the Haggas runners and the Ascot Markets…

Yesterday was a poor day for the Haggas team. We backed Realign whose inexperience told at Ascot and a small bet on Cairdeas who looked the most likely winner but was unbalanced going into the dip and couldn’t recover.

Plenty of others that follow yard had a torrid day backing those two plus Yabher who ran well Purple Rainbow, Opportunity and then attempted to get out on Noble Horizon who got mugged on the line at Newmarket.

Despite the extremely unfortunate balloting out of our bet of the meeting Archivist confidence remains high for a good day on Saturday…

3.05 Ascot

Space Legend, Al Aasy and Candleford Each Way chances.

3.10 Newmarket

First Principle is expected to win but on seasonal debut and at 5/4 I will sit the race out.

5.00 Ascot

More Thunder has drifted from a ridiculous early price of 5/2 out to 4/1 which is realistic. Confidence remains high.

Previously Recommended Bet More Thunder 11/2 2pts ew

5.55 Ayr

First Instinct

Following the run of Arizona Blaze at Royal Ascot First Instinct is the form choice although has a bit to find with Electric Storm on Bath running. That was First Instinct’s first run of the season and she is a straight forward tough filly dropped in grade with a top form Jason Hart booked

At around 7/2 BoG i am happy to go each way and take a small loss if something improves past her. She is a real warrior and will give 100% as usual.

Recommended Bet 1pt ew First Instinct 5.55 Ayr BoG

6.00 Haydock

Alibey has a good chance of improving enough from her first run to go close here but didn’t do quite enough to suggest she is fully ready to now win and overturn Burj Zabeel who is odds on for the Charlie Johnston team who are in the sort of form that merits caution betting against them, as we found out to our cost at Redcar yesterday

No recommended Bet

8.45 Haydock

Tuesday’s Child steps into handicap company for the first time but she is another that has not shown enough in her maidens for me to be convinced she can beat 3 previous lat time out winners off her opeing mark of 68.

Royal Ascot Day 5 Round Up.

The overnight market moves were quite frankly ridiculous again none more so than More Thunder being as short as 5/2 as mentioned earlier.

2.30 and 3.05

The boys in blue have had a good meeting apart from their main man Charlie Appleby who has not had a Royal winner now for three years.

This can only be down to bad luck and his horses not getting the right track conditions. Shadow of Light clearly ill at ease on the fast ground in yesterdays Commonwealth Cup.

The punters seem to have taken the view that one or both of Treanmor heavily supported and back to 13/8 favourite in the 2.30 or Rebel Romance well backed into 9/4, for the Hardwicke at 3.05 will break the losing streak.

3.40 Jubillee Stakes

5/1 when advised as a bet yesterday the Japanese sprint star Satona Reve has been all the rage and is now a best priced 5/2, 9/4 in places.

Lets hope he gets the job done and gives Japan a first Royal Ascot winner

4.20 Jersey Stakes

I have a feeling Comanche Brave could be a very good bet here at 10/3 but with no knowledge other than the form book to go on I will stick with our small ew bet on Spy Chief who has been supported from 20/1 into 14/1 but is back out to 18/1.

5.00 Wokingham Stakes

Confidence remains high for More Thunder to pull off this plan hatched at Somerville Lodge in April.

5.35 Golden Gates

Without Archivist the money has come for Seraph Gabriel. Boosted by a double for the Beckett yard on Friday, confidence is high with the balloting out of Archivist enabling the 3yo to have a great chance from a highly beneficial wide draw.

This is a race that potentially was going to provide one of my biggest wins of the season but after being robbed of tht possibility i don’t want to end up losing on the race.

6.10 Queen Alexandra.

This looks likely to develop into a face off between punters and bookies. With only one horse on the side of the punters the inappropriately named Sober ridden by Ryan Moore trained by Willie Mullins likely to be taken on by the bookies who may see this as a chance to lay a horse at prices far shorter than it should , and then having the rest of the field running for them.

Sober is clearly no Kyprios and it will be a great watch.
