Transformational Betting for 2026

Feel the Force on Thursday.

Our latest bet on Wednesday was smashed in the market as usual but unfortunately Kodi Lion ran more like Kodi Dog putting his head in the air as soon as pressure was applied. He is a horse to forget.

With 15 meetings over the next three days plus the 3 day Irish Derby meeting at the Curragh – opportunities abound but also there is going to be a real problem for trainers to get the right jockey on board with many of the big yards spreading their net across 4 meetings on each of the three days.

It looks like the William Haggas team is warming up for a big Saturday with several opportunities on Thursday and Friday, with three of interest to me on Thursday..

Although we didn’t back Mahra’s Love on Wednesday it was good to see her win . If you saw the race you realised why i couldn’t recommend her at a price of 5/4.

She was very lucky to miss a huge amount of trouble coming out of the stalls, but in the end did well to win , but i won’t be in a hurry to back her to follow up.

A word on Archivist our bet of the meeting in the Golden Gates at Ascot but unfortunately balloted out.

He is entered at York on Saturday in a 1 mile handicap and has been introduced in some early markets as the 3/1 favourite. A fast mile left handed is very different to 10f right handed at Ascot, the yard may feel however, this is now the best option as they got him spot on for Ascot. We would have been on at 6/1 at Ascot and he will be half those odds on Saturday in a race where he doesn’t have optimium conditions.

Of the Thursday entries we have covered Godwinson in the 3.45 Newcastle who is poor value at 5/2 and is a no bet. Superposition from the Ed Dunlop yard at 6/1 is of interest in that race.

In the 2.25 Newmarket Kohayln,a half sister to Elnajmm, is beautifully bred but makes her debut, so as always, we will watch and learn.

Itraaq in the 2.47 at Nottingham is the mount of Jim Crowley she showed some promise on her debut behind the very useful Pina Sonata without being put into the race.

Her breeding ties into the great Helena Springfield bloodline that goes back to Colourspin and she is closely related to Izzi Top rated 118 Emaraaty 116 and her dam Jazzi Top rated 113 all trained by John Gosden. All three of those fillies were sent off odds on for their second outing, 2 won and Jazzi Top was an unlucky in running third, all three were well beat on debut.

Itraaq was introduced at 5/2 but that didn’t last more than a few minutes and is into 5/4 – there is every chance she could go off odds on. Four of her five rivals look likely to need at least 12f and the other is getting handicapped. If she can run to a mark of 80 she will win this, she could, of course, be an awful lot better.

NO Bet – Price now too short

Another Abbott in the 3.00 at Newmarket is still a maiden but only because of being drawn away from rails positions and racing against a huge track bias at Lingfield and Redcar. The gelding was really tough on both occasions and although up 3lb for losing is still attractively weighted.

He is bred to improve over the 6f and his half sister Les Bleus, owned by Harry Redknapp, ran her best race on the July course when 3rd in the Sweet Solera behind Fallen Angel. She was also a winner over 6f at the track

He is facing older rivals with Spring Bloom and Dashing Dick proven over the track and the 3yo I Maximus a horse who has cost punters fortunes but with Richard Hughes in great form and Ryan Moore booked , they will invest again.

Another Abbot is improving and could easily be rated 7lb higher and does not lack experience – at a price of around 5/1 he is worth a 1pt ew bet to record his first win and prove that handicap mark to be lenient and that 6f is his best trip.

Recommended Bet 1pt ew Another Abbott 3.00 Newmarket BoG

Fallon and Haggas will be hoping for a handicap double with Bintjeddah in the 4.45. The filly has gone backwards after running well as a 2yo and her two starts this season have done nothing to suggest she has trained on. Hopefully she will show more here but she faces a couple of fillies in Sahana and little Kielee who are very much on the up.

No Bet Recommended

Finally at Hamilton Daniel Tudhope takes the ride on Eternal Force who was unsuited by having to make the running last time out over 10f .

That looked a better maiden than this and he will be suited down in trip to 9f and would have a great chance here on his previous run when 4th behind Bedouin Prince, Wicked and Noble Horizon.

Noble Horizon links in form to horses including Rogue Millions and I Am I Said both horses now rated 90 and 96

There are horses of promise in the race but none that surely aspire to achieving a rating in the 90’s at this stage of their career and Eternal Force has probably achieved that rating in his Newmarket run behind Bedouin Prince. His price around 3/1 looks about right.

His dam Ghaziyah was also trained by Haggas for the same owners and achieved a rating of 90 which will be enough for Eternal Force to take this contest which Haggas has won for the last two seasons.

Diary of Seaon 2pt win Eternal Force 7.45 Hamilton .

Away from the Haggas team…there look to be several opportunities but the markets are really tight after Ascot with two potential 3pt bets we highlighted yesterday Saqqara Bay and Rogue Millions being sent off at very short prices but whilst it is frustrating there have been plenty of short ones that haven’t delivered.

There maybe be one more bet on Thursday which I wlll update at 12noon. at the moment the bets are:

Diary of a Season –

1pt ew Another Abbot 3.00 Newmarket

2pt win Eternal Force 7.45 Newmarket
