I did say there would be fun and games in this race and they have begun. The Gosden trained initial favourite Antrim is a non runner and Tenability and Magic Star both trained by William Haggas were heavily cut in the markets to a point where both were jt even money favourite with one major firm !!
Undoubtedly a race to watch.
Probably the biggest move of the day has been Trojan Sun backed from 10/1 to 9/4 in the 4.45 at Chester. The Jim Goldie followers generally get it right when the money is down and Hong Kong bound Richard Kingscote is 1 from 2 when riding for the yard.
It all looks good and 10/1 was a decent price but now at 9/4 in a long distance contest i will watch and hope the gamble is landed for the backers.
The Balding backers have been getting stuck into Contacto in the 240 at Newcastle and with 6 and 7 places on offer that looks rock solid ew at 4/1 in another long distance race.
A day that has slightly had the edge taken off it by the price of Archivist but nevertheless there looks to be some great racing on offer in what could be the last action of June with NO Bet Sunday, although there are a couple of interest on Monday.
