Eight handed Thursday but one stand out

Thursday’s action sees a plethora of unraced William Haggas based horses making their racecourse debuts.

As you all know it will be wait, watch and note for the future on all of them irrespective of any market support .

The horse’s concerned are :

Sing the Blues 3.02 Yarmouth

Perfect Ruler 3.10 Haydock

Concert 6.40 Newbury

Berlinetta 6.40 Newbury

There are 4 other runners that offer varying chances  of success. Most of the horses are greatly under priced as usual but generally the markets level up as the morning progresses.

In the 4.37 at Kempton Mission Possible was put in at 5/2 but is already on the drift. The filly goes to post for the second time looking to improve on her debut run in a small field novice stakes at Salisbury.

She was 4th of 4 and finished tamely. I know the form was boosted by stable mate Wujjood winning well at Pontefract but she was dropped in trip to 8f which was the reason for the improvement in form. Mission Possible goes up in trip to 11f and probably will need this further experience before showing her true worth.  It’s an intriguing contest with Dysart Enos given an outing on the AW by Fergal O’ Brien – no bet for me but I can pass on a strong word for the Beckett runner Satavia.

Waleefy Kempton 5.33

He has long past by the last chance saloon and is not of any interest- probably one of the horses in the yard with most potential but seems out of love with racing. It’s hard to believe this horse who started favourite in his first 10 races is 12/1 in this low grade contest .

No Bet Recommended.

Magic Box 5.11 Kempton

She will be a short price around 13/8 based on her last time out 3rd behind the Royal Ascot runner up Flowerhead – she looked stronger at Chepstow but there is a big chance that Chepstow run flatters her and I am not convinced she is ready to give the yard their first 2yo winner of the season in what is the first Nursery of 2025. To be honest it’s guess work on the quality of the four opponents- but I have a strong feeling one or two will be better handicapped.

Cairdeas 7.50 Kempton

This is last chance saloon for Cairdeas but he is the clear form pick and the return to a flat track from a good draw makes him worth a small interest in what will be our first bet of the week.

He travelled like the best horse in the race last time out at Newmarket but became unbalanced going into the dip and then could not get going quick enough up the hill eventually staying onto finish 4th .

He has cheek pieces on for the first time and has been dropped to a mark of 77. Ceiren Fallon continues in top form and the combination can prove too good for this field. Anything 5/1 or bigger BOG is good value .
