There are two entries for the yard on Wednesday – First up is First Principle in the 2.33 Thirsk, who got loose before his intended first run of the season at Newmarket. Not ideal, but hopefully the experience has taken the edge off him and he really should win this en route to better things. Unfortunately he will be odds on and i will watch him win with an eye to backing him for the future up in grade.

The very disappointing Sir William heads to post in the 4.38. He seemed to run with promise in a better race than this at Sandown but he really only ran past tiring horses and i remain unconvinced about what he will do in a battle with victory on the line. With the ultra game TopTeam in the 4 runner line up he is an easy horse to pass by for betting purposes.
