Transformational Betting for 2026

Brazilian no close shave.

No Haggas runners Tuesday but this will be a very heavy betting week that got off to a great start on Monday.

The Michael Dods team missed the opportunity to give their rapidly improving 3yo Novamay a quick fire sprint hat trick of wins when they entered her in a race at Nottingham on Friday in a race she wasn’t qualified to run in. She will now have to run off a mark of 80 having been reassessed by the handicapper for her two wide margin wins. Her first win was off 59!!

However, they have another improving sprinter in the shape of the 3yo filly Brazilian Belle who can defy a 6lb penalty in the 4.00 Musselburgh. She bolted up at Thirsk seeming to be very well suited to the rain softened ground which she will get again on Tuesday.

Novamay was sent off at a really good price of 6/4 when she followed up her previous win, Brazilian Belle was not as impressive as Novamay but still won very easily and in a contest where there looks plenty of pace and one of Jim Goldie’s in opposition i am looking for a price of around 5/2-3/1.

The Dods team were slow start to the season which he partially attributed to a lot of his horses needing some cut in the ground. As a result his horses, especially the 3yo’s look well handicapped and with rain continuing in the forecast , his horses look well worth following in the coming days.

They are not going to make the same mistake with Brazilian Belle who is entered again on Thursday and Friday, where she can run with a double penalty, if she wins at Musselburgh, based on her current mark of 68, which will go up to at least 78 tomorrow when the new handicap marks are released.

Recommended Bet 2pt win Brazilian Belle 4.00 Musselburgh
