Goodwood Day 5 – Update

A quick mention of yesterdays strange run of Yabher. Who drifted from 6/1 – 12/1 and was ridden opposite to how it was anticipated and then was almost brought down when challenging ( he wouldn’t have won).

I think despite reports to the contrary the feeling was the ground had gone against him.

We did miss the Aeolian win at Newmarket in the maiden backed from 7/2 to 2/1 as short as 7/4 near the off. Some of you will remember my advice when Gosden and Haggas send horses in minor maiden events, to look out for late market moves!!

We have three small bets and one 2pt bet on what is a quiet Saturday which has been determined by the uncertain ground conditions .

Term Of Endearment, would have ideally preferred it to stay softer but it should still be ok, Elmonjed would prefer it to dry out more hence the drift to 10/1 but by racetime it should be fine. He is in great form. Headmaster is a value bet at 16/1 now as short as 8/1 in places and the main bet Treasure Time has to overcome a wide draw but is strongly fancied.

I appreciate it is difficult for some of you to pick up late bets, however depending on the how much the ground continues to dry out i may have another bet late this morning.
