2yo’s Now ready for investment..

In August Somerville Lodge has ran seven 2yo’s. Three have been on debut and have got beat, the other four had race course experience and all 4 won.

Berlinetta heads to post at Chepstow on Tuesday afternoon in the maiden fillies stakes at 5.30. She drops back in trip having ran well in her two starts at Newbury and York and over this 5f i expect her to make all the running.

On the book the 2nd favourite Soca Star looks to hold the Haggas horse but she has been racing in small fields and although it looks like she has early pace the first two furlongs in her races have been slowly ran, whereas Berlinetta last time at York showed a great deal of early pace.

This should enable this daughter of Pinatubo who is out of a speedy Royal Applause mare to get across to the favoured stands rail and dominate from the front.

I am happy with a price of around 9/4 – and she is worth an investment to keep the run of 2yo winners going with more to come this week.
