Transformational Betting for 2026

Wednesday 7 strong – one stand out…

A team of 7 head to Yarmouth and Sandown on Wednesday . The three at Sandown are immediately all no bets as the ground is soft with further rain in the forecast. One of the oldest and best rules in punting is never bet at the Esher track on soft or heavy ground.

Furthermore Sir William in the 4.45 and Itraaq in the 5.17 are 3yo’s running in handicaps at this track after the 1st September where the yards record is 0-27.

The other runner Marshdi makes his debut in the 2.35 – you know the rule.

Sandown No recommended Bets.

Over to Yarmouth and the 2.55

Well if there was ever a Somerville Lodge 2yo to back first time out it is Albaydaa a Pinatubo half sister to Almeraq who won here at Yarmouth as a 2yo on his second outing.

However, we will stick to the tried and tested process based on the realities of the way Haggas trained debutants are ridden no matter how well bred and NO BET is RECOMMENDED

In the 4.00 Anna Swan has a tough task in a hot listed fillies stakes contest and is another NO BET RECOMMENDATION

In the 5.10 I took the view that Camtank was poorly handicapped off a mark of 76 before her last run at Goodwood and both the big drift in the market and her performance when beaten over 10L in a weak Class 4 confirmed the theory. Dropped 3lb but in a better race offers no reason to change that opinion.

NO BET RECOMMENDED

For the stand out opportunity we go back to the 4.35 and Sea Force looks to get the handicap win he deserves dropped to a grade 3 following three excellent efforts in defeat in his previous handicap runs including in a Class 2 at York behind Fifth Column last time out. He has finished 3,4,6 but has been beaten in total less than 3L

He would have won on the first of those at Ascot but for a very slow pace and that same fact didn’t help his cause at York when beaten only just over 1L in 6th having also been forced to run very wide. In between those runs he was also beaten under a 1L at Goodwood on heavy ground when he was also unlucky in running.

He looks sure to get a strong pace and cover from his draw in stall 1 and although he may need some luck finding his way through there looks to be only one danger in the form of the top weight Whip Cracker.

The rest of the field are out of form or in the case of the Crisford pair Green Triangle and Tamrot being readied for a campaign in Bahrain.

The Haggas record of 10-27 3yo winners of handicaps contested at the track this decade after 1st September is another reason for the investment.

It is the time of year when i will have saver bets as horses can start to go over the top for the season.

Recommended Bets 1.5pts win Sea Force 0.50 pts saver Whip Cracker 4.35 Yarmouth BOG after 8.00am Wednesday.
