Transformational Betting for 2026

Monday outstanding stats lead to must bet opportunity…

Why does the Haggas yard target Selling races ? I have no idea. The stats leave me in no doubt that they do and added to the yards record at Musselburgh generally and even more so with 2yo’s then Fine Art Dealer has to be an investment in the 2.22 at Musselburgh the 7f Selling Stakes on Monday.

The horse has a bit to find on ratings but is well drawn in Stall 2 and jockey Jason Hart is riding at a 33% win strike rate for the yard this season with 3 winners from 9 rides and 4 of the other 6 finishing runner up.

At Musselburgh since 2021 he has ridden 12 2yo’s sent off 1,2,3 in the market recording 6 winners.

Here is the Haggas supporting data:

Since 2014, 11 horses have ran in Selling Stakes races 6 have Won. When sent off 1,2,3 in the market the record increases to 6 from 9 66%

The Haggas record at Musselburgh in all races over the same period is 18 winners from 50 runners 36%. With 2yo s only it is 5 from 9. When sent off in the first 3 in the market it is 6 from 9 66%.

On that data Fine Art Dealer is an odds on chance. The opening price of 5/2 reflects his form at Yarmouth behind stablemate Division the 2yo should get the job done.

Recommended Bet 2pt win Fine Art Dealer 2.22 Musselburgh

Tom Marquand heads to Yarmouth for a couple of rides starting with York Tower an unraced 2yo in the opener. One of these is bound to win sooner or later just through the law of average. However there is no rule or guide to which one it will be.

Itraaq is up in trip in a bid to break her maiden tag and the form of her last run over 1m2f on Soft ground at Sandown suggests the trip is what she needs. IT has to be significant that Marquand rides 2 for Haggas at Yarmouth rather than 5 at Kempton.

The Gosden trained Ethelwulf is sure to come in for support, but overall Itraaq’s form is better and with Marquand coming to Yarmouth rather than Kempton she is worth an interest.

The Haggas yard is 4 from 10 with 3yo handicaps at Yarmouth after September in the calendar year going off 1,2,3 in the market.

2pt win Itraaq 4.30 Yarmouth

At Kempton Ceiren Fallon has a book of 4 rides starting with the unraced 2yo Princling in the 5.40.

No Bet Recommended.

in the 6.40 Fallon rides Raneen and Stevie Donoghoe is on the very disappointing Jewelry in the 6f sprint.

Both are not well handicapped and although the race could fall apart and they could be in the right place at the right time they are not solid for betting purposes and will head to next weeks sales without another win in their Sales book.

In the 7.40 Sir William steps in trip to 1m 3f. He has been harshly treated going up 8lb for 1 win and 2 seconds. Drawn in Stall 9 Fallon will have to go from the front or settle in behind and hope he can settle the 3yo to get the extra trip. He is the only one of the 4 3yo’s running at Kempton that is not in the Horses in Training Sales and on breeding this trip should eek out further improvement, however there is no evidence that he will act on the polytrack and his refusal to settle in his races makes him hard to recommend.

Finally in the 8.10 Pergola is out again quickly after her disappointing run last week like the 2 in the sprint this does appear to be a throw of the dice designed to increase the horses value at next weeks sales.

She was very disappointing on her last run on the polytrack.

No Bet Recommended.

Summary for Monday

2pt win Fine Art Dealer 2.22 Musselburgh

2pt win Itraaq 4.30 Yarmouth
