Transformational Betting for 2026 – Saturday 20th December
The consortium have enjoyed a stellar month highlighted by the past 48hours where in total 9 tracker horses were considered and these were assessed down to two recommended Bets.
Parlando (11/1 – 5/2 ) on Thursday and Sound and Vision ( 11/4 – 9/4) providing the consortium with two straight forward successes and boosting this months strike rate to 66%.
There are 9 tracker horses running on Saturday which we have assessed in the context of the races they have been declared for and these have been narrowed down into two recommendations.
Firstly, Westcombe, in the Wolverhampton 6.45, reappears 3 days after winning an apprentice event at Kempton 72 hours ago. He defied a wide draw on that occasion, using up plenty of energy in the opening 3f, before getting across to the rail and dictating from the front. Although, the winning margin was narrow he looked to have won with plenty in hand and showed a good level of stamina given the early fractions.
This was very encouraging as he has inherited stamina from his sire and potentially speed from his dam as he is a half brother to the former Richard Hannon trained 6f specialist Rattling who was rated 85.
Drawn in 1 this evening and with no real pace forecast, the top form Luke Morris will be able to dictate from the front or sit just behind the pace and kick for home going into the home straight and outclass the Class 5 opposition as he moves through the ranks as so many of these types do trainer, Sir Mark Prescott
The market makes it two horse race with the Billy Loughnane ridden So Alex the only horse backed against Westcombe. However although the 3yo has won his last two races with something in hand he now steps out of class 6 into Class 5 for the first time and is 15lb higher than when he started to show form 3 outings ago.
On occasions late developing Prescott, horses can take a step back before continuing on winning runs, however there looked to be a touch of class about Westcombe and it will be disappointing if he fails to win off this mark of 70 which is unchanged from his win at Kempton
Win Bet Westcombe 7.45 Wolverhampton
60 minutes later He’s A Gentleman looks to further enhance his outstanding track record at Wolverhampton.
He won over this course and distance two starts ago off a mark of 72 landing a gamble from 7/2 into 6/5. he is only 3lb higher here in slightly better grade, A look at his performances at Dunstall Park suggest he is still well handicapped and it is no surprise that he has ben supported from 6/1 – 7/2.
He has ran 6 times at the track in Class 4 and 5 contests from a mark between 71 to 75, these are the results:
Won 10/3 Class 5
2nd 2/1 Class 5
Won 17/2 Class 4
Won 10/1 Class 4
2nd 11/2 Class 5
Won 5/4 Class 5
With the top form Cieren Fallon booked and an ideal draw in Stall 5 he rates as a rock solid EW bet.
