Hits 11 day winning streak
The victory of the heavily backed Sax Appeal 15/8 – 6/5 provided the Consortium with a 11th consecutive winning day on Sunday – with a 50% plus win ratio from 23 Bets advised in this period which began with Heavenly Heather backed from 4/1 into 11/4 at Newcastle.
The winning streak also includes gambles on the likes of Weddell Sea 12/1 – 9/2, Lady of Arabia 9/2 – 5/4 and Parlando 11/1 – 5/2
Newcastle is the target to extend the run and the card throws up four horses into the Net tracker.
We wait until the 5.15 for our first opportunity in the shape of the Jim Goldie trained Arnhem.
A win and two 2nd place finishes for Goldie in Class 4 handicaps off a lenient turf mark of 68 got the 5 yo off to a flyer and he has maintained consistent level of form returned to the AW in a couple of Class 3 races including a very hot race over 6f here at Newcastle won by Germanic. He stayed on in eye catching fashion that evening as he did over 5f where although finishing 7th of 9 was beaten only 2L.
His AW mark has dropped to 78 having previously been rated as high as 97 in Dundalk.
Dropped back to a Class 4 and drawn in stall 10 – In all his 3 previous runs at the track he has been drawn in Stall 1 and been given too much to do. I expect Mulrennan to get cover behind the early pacesetters who are drawn low and deliver the horse inside the final furlong.
Arnhem 6/1 into 4/1 1.5pt ew Recommendation
In the 5.45 the race set up looks ideal for Francesi to get back to winning ways.
The 6yo is unlucky not to be on a hat trick bid after narrowly failing to last home over 9f when beaten in a 3 way photo at Wolverhampton last week Drawn wide that day his stamina just gave out – but back over the scene of her previous victory and with a good pace seemingly assured, the Tracker gives a clear indication that this race is well within his reach and he looks a rock solid each way bet at 5/1 or bigger

A further boost to the profits for December has come from backing previous Tracker Bets on their next run if favourably conditions prevail. We have a 100% record so far with 5 from 5 Win Bets and 1 win and 3 placed from 4 each way and I expect Instant Bond to extend the sequence , stepped up in trip to 7f in this Class 6 contest due off at 6.15
The Consortium treat all Class 6 Tracker Bets with a degree of caution but with 7/2 or bigger available this 11 race maiden has looked ready to win on his last couple of outings and the step up in trip could just unlock the key to getting his head in front. Paul Mulrennan takes over on what looks likely to be a good day for the tracks leading rider.
0.5pt win Instant Bond 6.15 Newcastle
The tracker has thrown out Goldmoyne in the 7.15 and despite an 11lb hike in the weights for his win over course and distance last time out, that victory was achieved in the style of a Class 4 or 5 sprinter and the make up of this race gives the ex-Irish trained sprinter a good chance to double up.
Fitted with first time cheek pieces last time out he raced up with a strong pace but was able to maintain high fractions right through to the line.
That performance would have seen him go close in higher grades and the rise in the weights still allows him to run in Class 6 which should enable him to win again.
2pt win Goldmoyne 6.15 Newcastle.
