Big day ahead at Wolverhampton

The exceptional December profits were boosted again by the win of Goldmayne in the ‘lucky last’ at Newcastle yesterday which more than made up for a rare “no show’ from Arnhem one of the tracker selections

There are three very strong selections at Wolverhampton on Tuesday starting with Seeing Stars in the Novice Stakes at 6.00pm.

When Callum Sheppard rides fancied 2yo’s for William Knight at Wolverhampton they get the job done. With nothing much to fear from the horses with form and no sign of money for any newcomers this looks a straight forward task and the son of Bated Breath can land the prize.

3pt win Seeing Stars

in the fillies Class 5 Handicap at 7.30, Wilhelmina can get a deserved win having ran with great credit in higher grades including Class 2 last time out.

Proven over Course and Distance and with a good chance that the race will be ran at a distant pace – she should simply outclass the opponents.

3pt win Wilhelmina

In the 8.00 the top form trainer, jockey paif of Charlie Clover and Cieren Fallon team up with Salaria who can defy a step up from Class 6 to Class 5 and a wide draw to complete a hat trick of wins.

Only 6lb higher for those wins, the first of which was achieved despite pulling throughout the race, she settled better next time out and won with plenty in hand.

Key to the race is the strong early pace, which should allow Fallon to settle her in from the wide draw and then produce her to challenge round the final bend. She looks to still be ahead of the handicapper.

3pt win Salaria
