To my surprise William Hill this evening have opened an Ante Post book for the 2m AW Marathon Championship final the final race at 4.42 Newcastle on Friday.
Followers may remember my intention to follow what I believe is the long term plan by the Haggas team to land this prize with Dramatic Star.
The form of his run behind stable mate The Reverend in last seasons Old Borough Cup is by far the best on offer. It was given a further boost on Saturday with the victory of Align the Stars at Kempton.
On AW form he is 9lb better off with likely 2nd favourite Duke of Oxford and is well handicapped with a majority of the runners entered who look to be fully exposed.
The ground conditions probably cost us place money at least with Eternal Force but I am very confident Dramatic Star, who runs for the same owner will get the job done. 10/1 is a very good price and I recommend.
