Transformational Betting for 2026

Chester and Week Ahead

I absolutely hate betting on horses that are just having a run and Forager today followed Electrolyte and Brasil Power last week who were not positioned to run at their peak. Even though small stakes were involved as far as i am concerned its 3 to many.

Looking through the declarations I think we are in for a quiet week. The Haggas yard will be focusing on York’s Dante meeting in 10 days time and a lot of their entries at Chester would prefer cut in the ground which seems unlikely.

The 2 day card at Ascot and the mixed card at Haydock on Saturday look more interesting

On Tuesday Tom Marquand stays in the UK to ride at Wolverhampton rather than ride First Instinct in a listed race at Cork.

Romantic Spirit was a winner for us last time out and must go close to completing the hat-trick in the 7.30 Wolverhampton and he has another first ride for a yard this time for Iain Jardine who sends one runner down from Dumfries in the shape of Sibyl Charm in the 9.00 who is back down to a winning mark after an eye catching run over this course last time out.

Marquand takes over from stable apprentice Mohammed Tabti. However Tom will need to make sure he gets a good start from stall 2 as she can miss the break. If he leads i think he will win.

Small Stakes again only 1pt win Romantic Spirit 7.30 Wolverhampton 0.5 pt won Sibyl Charm 9.00 Wolverhampton.
