In the first two days of this week Tom Marquand has had his first ever rides for two stables and I am certain that he was jocked up to go to Cork to ride First Instinct for William Haggas today but stays in the Uk to ride a Wolverhampton.
I will create a separate profit and loss chart for bets placed on horses backed simply on Tom’s bid for the title and hopefully make some additional profits alongside the main investments.
As was the case yesterday it may also include a few bets on other jockeys rides linked to the Marquand bookings.
That being said although pleased to see him ride a couple of winners on Monday on reflection I should have anticipated them as well as the loser we backed. By the time the market had told a very clear story in the lead up to the off both Scoville and Kingkeer both were too short. Still its no good crying over spilt milk.
Tom will of course be riding a significant number of our main Diary of a Season investments and i will NOT include in the TM P/L only the Diary Spreadsheet
I will still stick to the 13/8 or bigger rule for betting purposes. Stakes will either be 1pt win or 1/2 point ew or 1/2 point win 0.25 ew.
Both todays bets are what I will call TM wagers as opposed to the normal Diary of a Season Bets for which it is a No Bet day.
