Transformational Betting for 2026

No real pleasure in get out of jail win on Saturday

The fact that we made a 1pt profit on Saturday with the 3pt win of Yabher 7/2 -9/4 and it ended a losing run, isn’t anything great to shout about as we are still in arrears on the month.

Although, there were elements of jockey error especially on Friday, on reflection the Saturday losers were down to me betting on information and expectations for horses prepared for Royal Ascot still being relevant two weeks later.

This became apparent when Treasure Time was given a ride with the future in mind at Sandown. Sir Lowry’s Pass was another balloted out at Ascot although his failure to stay was very difficult to have predicted.

Valiancy was one paced but was given to much to do off a slow pace and if you watch the race he was in the right place alongside the 1st and 2nd but ridden far less vigorously and it was a luck lustre ride from Harry Davies. The horse stayed on in third and will win races off his current mark .

The Haggas yard is not striking with the consistency of previous seasons and i do believe this is largely down to the lack of confidence being shown by main jockey Tom Marquand and the inconsistency of No 2 Cieren Fallon.

They are 4 from 22 on the month. However there have been 3 from 3 consecutive long odds on favourites that have been beaten, and in total 5 horses finishing runners up.

Overall that suggests all is well with the yard and there is no reason for any lack of confidence in the weeks ahead , which hopefully with a degree of confidence restored with the very strong word for our winner on Saturday.
