We got the market right with the 4/1 on Morshdi who faces a stiff task taking on the odds on Ballydoyle raider Constitution River in the Dee Stakes on Thursday – however the Irish raider, although impressive as a 2yo, did pull very hard through his races. There is more than a chink of hope that Morshdi can give Haggas his first Listed/Group winner at Chester since Hamish won the Ormonde Stakes.
Later in the afternoon Song of the Clouds is fully expected to be another maiden to get off the mark in the 4.40 at Redcar she will be long odds on.
After her eye catching debut run at Newbury she was given an entry in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot. She should win at Redcar comfortably and gain redemption for Haggas followers at the track who suffered a surprise loss last year when Crown of Oaks was beaten at 1/3 on
Morshdi and Song of the Clouds kick off a 10 day period when a host of proven and potential Group race horses are due to run, including:
- Sea the Storm
- Maltese Cross
- Lake Forest
- My Ophelia
- Almeraq
- More Thunder
and several others entered in handicaps on marks that make them potential betting opportunities.
Further updates to follow later this evening..
