Sea Force – Stick or Twist ? 

Following horses labelled ‘ unlucky in running’ can be precarious but such was the extent of the misfortune that befell Sea Force in the Thirsk Hunt Cup that he is without doubt a winner without a penalty in Thursdays 1m Hambleton Heritage handicap at York on Thursday.

With conditions favourable to horses able to race up with the pace and from a great draw in 3 behind the 2024 winner and front running Port Lynas in 1 – I fully expect Tom Marquand to lie handy and then on the wider track of York compared to Thirsk get into a position to attack the leaders entering the final furlong. He should have sufficient speed and stamina to land the 100,000 prize for Somerville Lodge.
